PUNCHING BAG FILLING INSTRUCTIONS
Instructions for adjusting the filling quantity and weight of the punching bag
The punching bag is supplied with a filling made from 100% recycled textile waste. There is also a cotton tube inside the punching bag, filled with 9 kg of very fine gravel. This core gives the punching bag extra weight.
How do I make the punching bag heavier or lighter?
If you want to make the punching bag heavier, you can fill this cotton tube with up to 8 kg of additional gravel or sand (filled in plastic bags). The punching bag can be easily opened using the zipper. Remove some of the textile remnants and you will see the cotton tube. When filling with sand or gravel, please make sure that the additional weight is placed in the middle of the punching bag and that the bottom 10 - 15 cm at the bottom is filled exclusively with textile.
A heavier and more densely filled punching bag requires harder punches and swings less far. For additional weight or hardness, you can also add more textile scraps. It is best to use discarded soft textiles such as old, washed T-shirts, towels, bed sheets, cut into small pieces and without metal parts (such as buttons or zippers). Stuff the textile remnants firmly into the punching bag up to the top edge. Even after any settling has taken place, some textile can still be added.
If the punching bag is too hard or heavy for you (e.g. for children), you can of course also remove textile or gravel from the bag.
How do I hang up the punching bag?
The punching bag is supplied with straps and a snap hook for hanging.
To hang the punching bag, you need a stable mount on the ceiling or wall. Screw hooks and special ceiling or wall mounts for punching bags are available from DIY stores or sports shops. Hang the punching bag on a strong suspension rope made of cotton/nylon or on a metal chain on the bracket. Make sure that the punching bag can swing freely so that you can train effectively.
At what height should the punching bag be placed?
The top of the punching bag should hang about 10 cm higher than your own height.
