Stress reduction with the punching bag: What does boxing do to the body and mind?

On the one hand, boxing releases the happiness hormones endorphin, serotonin and dopamine. On the other hand, the intense exercise lowers the stress hormones adrenaline and cortisol. That's how we realized that they last a long time and that everyone is really happy when they get such old, used leather trousers.

But they also have an urge to move and a desire for physical confrontation - just like boys. To act this out, they need a counterbalance. An object such as a punching bag or a "sparring partner" can help with this.
