Boxing in style with the STARTER punching bag

The STARTER punching bag is ideal for boxing training for beginners and children at home, whether in the living room, home office, children's room or home gym.

The stylish and high-quality punching bag is the ideal companion for workouts and stress relief for the whole family and an eye-catcher for any room.

Filling & weight

The Junior punching bag is supplied with a filling weight of 8 kg, the Medium punching bag with a filling weight of 15 kg .

Our boxing bags are filled with shredded recycled textile scraps. 

The medium punching bag has a cotton bag filled with 5 kg of fine gravel inside for additional weight.

Our punching bags are filled with shredded recycled textile remnants, which optimally absorbs punches and kicks and reduces the strain on the joints. As the textile is deformable, light and soft, less pressure is exerted on wrists, elbows and shoulders when punching. Inside the punching bag is a cotton tube filled with 9 kg of fine gravel for extra weight. We use this combination of textile and gravel as a filling for an optimum weight and shock absorption ratio.

The filling quantity of our punching bags can be easily adjusted at home to change the weight and elasticity of the punching bag. If necessary, textile or gravel can be added or removed from the bag to make the punching bag heavier or lighter. Detailed instructions are included.

Robust and durable made in Amsterdam

We manufacture each punching bag with precision and traditional craftsmanship in our Snekkerbuks studio in Amsterdam. The high-quality workmanship and robust leather make the punching bag extremely hard-wearing and durable, abrasion and impact resistant. 

Premium leather from sustainable production

100% high-quality, robust cowhide leather from responsible production. We only use leather from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Groep (LWG), the most important sustainability certificate for leather production. You can find more information about the leather here →

The leather is left in its natural state and the special surface characteristics of the leather, such as grain and subtle color differences, remain visible. The impregnation and a light wax finish make the punching bag water-repellent and very hard-wearing. 

The punching bag is lined with an inner pocket made of hard-wearing canvas, which makes it particularly robust.

The straps are made of tear-resistant, 4 cm wide 100% cotton fabric.

Free repairs

Our leather box bags are designed to be very durable and robust and will last a lifetime . In the unlikely event that something should break: We offer you a free repair option! Send your punching bag (without filling) to our workshop and we will repair it if possible. You can find more details about our repairs here →

How do I hang up a punching bag?

The punching bag is supplied with straps and a snap hook for hanging. 

To hang the punching bag, you need a stable mount on the ceiling or wall. Screw hooks and special ceiling brackets or wall brackets for punching bags are available from DIY stores or sports shops. Hang the punching bag on a strong suspension rope made of cotton/nylon or on a metal chain on the bracket. Make sure that the punching bag can swing freely so that you can train effectively.

At what height should the punching bag be placed?

The top of the punching bag should hang about 10 cm higher than your own height.

Which punching bag is right for me? 

Our punching bags are available in 5 sizes: for every age and every workout style:

• 60 cm / 10 kg - Starter punching bag, size "Junior "

for children aged 6 - 12 years

• 70 cm / 15 kg - Starter punching bag, size "Medium "

for children aged 12 and over, teenagers and beginners, for cardio boxing and moderate boxing training at home

• 70 cm / 20 kg - Leather punching bag (max. capacity 27 kg)

for adult boxers, for beginners as well as for cardio boxing and more intensive boxing training at home. The punching bag can easily be made lighter so that children can also box well with it.

• 100 cm / 25 kg - Leather punching bag (max. capacity 35 kg)

for recreational and professional use, for training with punches and kicks and for kickboxing 

• 120 cm / 30 kg - Leather punching bag (max. capacity 40 kg)
