Filling
Our punching bags are filled with shredded, recycled textile remnants. This ensures optimum shock absorption during punches and kicks and reduces the strain on the joints. As the textile deforms and is light and soft, less pressure is exerted on wrists, elbows and shoulders during training. Unlike rubber granules or sand, the material does not harden over time and remains pleasantly elastic. Most cheaper punching bags are machine-filled with rubber granules. The result is a heavy, but very hard and not very flexible bag. Textile-filled models, on the other hand, are softer, easier on the joints and are filled by hand.
Inside the punching bag is a cotton tube filled with fine gravel for additional weight. This combination of textile and gravel results in an optimum ratio of weight and impact absorption. The filling quantity of our punching bags can be easily adjusted at home to change the weight and elasticity of the punching bag. Depending on your needs, you can remove or add textile remnants or gravel to make the punching bag lighter or heavier. The punching bag is supplied with instructions. Robust and durable - made in Amsterdam
We manufacture each punching bag with precision and traditional craftsmanship in our Snekkerbuks studio in Amsterdam. The punching bag is made from a single piece of leather and finished with robust double stitching. The high-quality workmanship and robust leather make the punching bag extremely hard-wearing and durable, abrasion and impact resistant.
Premium leather from sustainable production
Our leather punching bags are made from 100% high-quality, robust cowhide leather from responsible production. We only use leather from tanneries that are certified according to the Gold Standard of the Leather Working Group (LWG) - the world's leading sustainability standard for leather production. The leather is left in its natural state and the special surface characteristics of the leather, such as grain and subtle color differences, remain visible. The impregnation and a light wax finish make the punching bag water-repellent and very hard-wearing.
The punching bag is reinforced with an inner bag made of robust canvas tent fabric (100% cotton from TenCate, made in the Netherlands).
The straps are made of 4 cm wide, tear-resistant 100% cotton fabric, manufactured in Germany.
Suspension accessories included
The hanging accessories are included: Metal snap hook (100 mm) and hanging rope (10 mm thick, braided cotton rope). A ceiling or wall mount is not included, which you must select individually depending on the room.
Care instructions
To clean, simply wipe the surface with a slightly damp cloth; use mild soap if necessary. The leather will develop a natural patina over time. Occasionally treat sparingly with a high-quality leather grease.

How do I hang up the punching bag?
The punching bag is supplied with a snap hook and a strong cotton rope for suspension. Alternatively, you can also use a metal chain. To hang the punching bag, you need a sturdy mount on the ceiling or wall. You can find suitable ceiling or wall mounts in DIY stores or sports shops. Make sure that the punching bag can swing freely and is at least 1.5 m away from walls or furniture so that you can train effectively and safely. Don't want to drill holes in the wall or ceiling? At what height should the punching bag hang?
The correct height depends on the height of the athlete. As a rule of thumb, the top edge of the punching bag should hang about 10 cm higher than your own height. This ensures that punches and kicks can be practiced realistically.
