Filling & weight

The Junior punching bag is supplied with a filling weight of 8 kg, the Medium punching bag with a filling weight of 14 kg.

Our punching bags are filled with shredded recycled textile scraps. The medium punching bag has a cotton bag filled with 4 kg of fine gravel inside for extra weight.

The filling quantity can be easily adjusted at home to suit body weight and work-out style to change the weight and hardness of the punching bag. If necessary, textile can be removed from the bag to make the punching bag lighter, or sand (packed in plastic bags) can be added. Detailed instructions are included→.

We manufacture each punching bag with precision and traditional craftsmanship in our Snekkerbuks studio in Amsterdam. The high-quality workmanship makes the punching bag extremely hard-wearing and durable.

Recycled leather from sustainable production

100% high-quality, robust cowhide leather from responsible production. We only use leather from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Groep (LWG) with the Gold Standard, the most important sustainability standard for leather production.

The leather is left in its natural state and the special surface characteristics of the leather, such as grain and subtle color differences, remain visible. The impregnation and a light wax finish make the punching bag water-repellent and very hard-wearing. 

The straps are made of tear-resistant, 4 cm wide 100% cotton fabric.

The punching bag can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth.

How do I hang up the punching bag?

The punching bag is supplied with straps and a snap hook for hanging. 

To hang the punching bag, you need a stable mount on the ceiling or wall. Screw hooks and special ceiling brackets or wall brackets for punching bags are available from DIY stores or sports shops. Hang the punching bag on a strong suspension rope made of cotton/nylon or on a metal chain on the bracket. Make sure that the punching bag can swing freely so that you can train effectively.

At what height should the punching bag be placed?

The top of the punching bag should hang about 10 cm higher than your own height.

Which punching bag is right for me? - Our recommendations for the right punching bag weight:

• 60 cm / 8 kg - Starter punching bag, size "Junior "

  for children aged 6 - 12 years

• 70 cm / 14 kg - Starter punching bag, size "Medium "

  for children aged 12 and over, teenagers and beginners, for cardio boxing and moderate boxing training at home

• 70 cm / 20 kg - Leather punching bag (max. capacity 27 kg)

for adult boxers, for beginners as well as for cardio boxing and more intensive boxing training at home. The punching bag can easily be made lighter so that children can also box well with it.
