Primitive Shoes for Walking Almost Barefoot

Baby shoes protect the foot, strengthen your child’s foot muscles, and at the same time provide the sensation of walking barefoot. The more flexible the sole, the better the foot is exercised while walking, the sense of balance and foot muscles are strengthened, and healthier body and foot development is promoted. The breathable leather ensures a healthy foot environment.

Roman Sandals: Fairly Made in Amsterdam

The design is based on the historic Roman sandals known as "Carbatinae." Our leather sandals are traditionally handcrafted from soft, breathable, water-repellent cowhide leather in our " Snekkerbuks" workshop in Amsterdam. Each pair is one-of-a-kind.

Grow-with-me shoes

The soft leather of the sandals conforms to the shape of your foot and even stretches to accommodate growth! The elastic strap allows you to adjust the width of the sandals to fit the shape of your foot perfectly. You can adjust the knot in the elastic strap to customize the length of the sandals. 

Sizes

To determine the correct size, please measure your children's feet and order according to the size chart below. It is not necessary to add extra room for growth to the foot length, as the shoes are very flexible, even in length.

Sustainable Leather

100% high-quality cowhide leather from responsible sources. We use only leather from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG) under the Gold Standard, the most important sustainability standard for leather production. The leather is left in its natural state, so its unique surface characteristics—such as grain patterns and subtle color variations—remain visible. The waterproofing treatment and a light wax finish make the shoes water-repellent and very durable. The shoes are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
