These punching bags are specially designed for children and teens. Each punching bag is traditionally handcrafted in Amsterdam and is soft and light enough for children to train safely. With their soft leather surface and child-friendly sizes, our childrenâs punching bags are perfect for first-time training, playful boxing, and regular exercise at home.
The 100-cm-long punching bag is our most versatile model. Itâs long enough for kickboxing and MMA and is ideal as a âfamily punching bagâ: Thanks to its soft filling, itâs well-suited for older children and teens, yet itâs heavy enough for adults to train effectively as well.

Filling
Our punching bags are filled with shredded, recycled textile scraps. These provide optimal shock absorption for punches and kicks and reduce the strain on the joints. Because the textile is flexible, lightweight, and soft, less pressure is exerted on the wrists, elbows, and shoulders during training. Unlike rubber granules or sand, the material does not harden over time and remains pleasantly elastic. Most lower-priced punching bags are machine-filled with rubber granules. The result is a heavy bag that is very hard and offers little give. Textile-filled models, on the other hand, are softer, gentler on the joints, and are filled by hand. Rubber granules are particularly unsuitable for childrenâs punching bags, as they make the bag much too hard and pose a risk of injury.
Inside the 15- and 20-kg punching bags, a fabric tube filled with fine gravel provides additional weight. This combination of fabric and gravel results in an optimal balance of weight and shock absorption. You can easily adjust the fill level of our punching bags at home to change their weight and elasticity. Depending on your needs, you can remove or add fabric scraps or gravel to make the punching bag lighter or heavier. This way, the punching bag grows with your child and can be adjusted as needed to accommodate their increasing strength. The punching bag comes with instructions. We craft each punching bag with precision using traditional methods in our âSnekkerbuks â workshop in Amsterdam. The punching bag is made from a single piece of leather and finished with sturdy double-stitching. The high-quality craftsmanship and sturdy leather make the punching bag extremely durable and long-lasting, as well as resistant to abrasion and impact.Â
Premium leather from sustainable production
Our leather punching bags are made from 100% high-quality, durable cowhide sourced from responsible production. We exclusively use leather from tanneries certified to the Leather Working Group (LWG) Gold Standard â the worldâs leading sustainability standard for leather production. The leather is left in its natural state, so its unique surface characteristicsâsuch as grain patterns and subtle color variationsâremain visible. Minor variations in color and pattern compared to the models shown are possible. The waterproofing treatment and a light wax finish make the punching bag water-repellent and very durable.Â
The straps are made of 4 cm wide, tear-resistant fabric made of 100% cotton, manufactured in Germany.
Included mounting accessories
The hanging accessories are included: a metal carabiner (100 mm) and a hanging rope (10 mm-thick, braided cotton rope). A ceiling or wall mount is not included; you'll need to choose one that suits your space.
Care Instructions
To clean, simply wipe the surface with a slightly damp cloth; use mild soap if necessary. The leather will develop a natural patina over time. Occasionally treat it sparingly with a high-quality leather conditioner.

How do I hang the kids' punching bag safely?
The punching bag comes with a carabiner and a sturdy cotton rope for hanging. Alternatively, you can use a metal chain. To hang the punching bag, youâll need a sturdy mount on the ceiling or wall. For childrenâs punching bags, you donât need a complicated heavy-duty installation. The smaller punching bags (8 kg & 15 kg) can easily be hung from a sturdy screw-in hook on the ceilingâeven on a less solid childrenâs room ceiling. You can find suitable ceiling or wall mounts at a home improvement store or sporting goods store. Make sure the punching bag can swing freely and is at least 1.5 m away from walls or furniture so you can train effectively and safely. Donât want to drill holes in the wall or ceiling? Then freestanding punching bag holders or stands with a sturdy steel frame are a good alternative. At what height should the punching bag be hung?
The correct height depends on the childâs height. As a rule of thumb, the top edge of the punching bag should be about 10 cm above the childâs head. This ensures that punches and kicks can be practiced realistically. Hang the family punching bag about 10 cm above the head height of the tallest person who will be using it. The punching bag will then still be long enough for children to box comfortably as well.
